Data sources and credits
Where each part of ZERONOISE comes from, and whose it is.
- Published tracklists
- The songs of each mix, in the order they were played. This is the whole basis of the map: songs, play counts and links. Song, artist and label names are as published and belong to their owners; they are shown to identify and describe records.
- Discogs
- Genres, styles, first release years and artist profiles come from the monthly data dumps that Discogs publishes under CC0 (data.discogs.com). The latest dump used is dated 2026-10-01. 1,285,074 songs are matched, 840,696 have a first release year and 83,549 artists have a profile. Profiles are shortened to at most 500 characters and credited where they appear.
- Deezer
- Cover art and 30-second previews, found by searching Deezer with a song’s public artist and title. Playing a clip contacts Deezer.
- SoundCloud
- Mixes play in SoundCloud’s own player, under SoundCloud’s terms. Playing a mix contacts SoundCloud.
- Open-source software and fonts
- three.js (MIT) draws the map. Icons are from Lucide (ISC), and the streaming-service marks that link out of the song panel are drawn from the Simple Icons set (CC0). The typefaces are Monofett and DM Sans, both under the SIL Open Font License.
- Trademarks
- Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, SoundCloud and Discogs are the property of their owners. ZERONOISE is not affiliated with any of them.
- Corrections and removals
